Web 2.U is our very own student-run conference that explores the intersection of technology, social media and information. Each year, we feature talks by information professionals who are pushing the edge of possibility.
This year’s conference will happen on February 7, 2014 and I am looking for one or two MLIS I students to become the conference’s assistant organizer(s).
The assistant organizer(s) will help plan the conference with the understanding that they will become the conference director(s) the following year. The position is a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. You will learn about emerging technologies, network with information professionals, and get valuable management experience.
So if you are an MLIS I student and:
– love technology
– love to plan
– want to learn about budgeting, grant writing, and event organization (skills that will look great on your CV!)
– can make the commitment
Drop me a line because I want to hear from you!
